Remote Connection to Eaton School DistrictTo log in remotely from home please follow these instructions.
- Open the Remote Desktop Connection (RDP).
- This is usually found under Start►Programs►Accessories,
- Once you have opened RDP, a connection box will appear.
- Type remote.eaton.k12.co.us in for the server name.
- Click connect.
- An error that reads "The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. Do you want to connect anyway?" may appear, click connect.
- Now a terminal server login box will appear.
- Type in your network username and password.
(If you are using a remote connection while you are inside the district (physically at one of the schools) please replace remote.eaton.k12.co.us in the instructions above with termserv. Then follow the rest of the instructions as stated.)
When you log in from home you are issued a temporary license from us, this will expire. When it does and you get a message that reads "No license was available for the computer..." please download and run this file for out of district web.eaton.k12.co.us/tech/tsfix.exe. If you are running Vista or Windows 7 and the tsfix does not work then please try these steps:
- Right-click on the Remote Desktop Connection shortcut
- Click Run as Administrator.
Please remember that your personal computer configuration at home can impact your ability to access web enabled systems by the District. Your computer may have clients or other products that could cause conflicts. |
